This eight-volume series takes you directly into the original source texts — the seven Yun Qi chapters of the Huang Di Nei Jing Su Wen 黃帝內經素問 (Chapters 66–74). About the Research
The educational resources on this page are grounded in original doctoral research.
Sang Hee Park, PhD completed her doctoral thesis at Liaoning University of TCM 遼寧中醫藥大學, China in 2016. Her research was the world's first empirical study applying Wu Yun Liu Qi 五運六氣 theory to Southern Hemisphere climate and epidemiological data.
The study analysed 156 years of Sydney climate records alongside 33 years of New South Wales disease and epidemic statistics. The findings confirmed that the classical disease prediction framework of the Huang Di Nei Jing Su Wen applies in the Southern Hemisphere — with appropriate adaptation for the inverted seasonal calendar.
This research forms the foundation for the Southern Hemisphere adaptations included throughout the Practice Series, the Seven Classics series, and the Yun Qi Clinical Analyzer.
